• Medicare will never, ever initiate the call to get you to enroll in Medicare
• Medicare agents won’t ask you for your Medicare card number
• Agents will never visit your home

Medicare provides the Medicare Summary Notice, which documents what has been charged to your account along with the corresponding dates.

Have These in Hand Before Reporting

• Your Medicare card number
• Any and all identifying information regarding the provider
• (If you are reporting a suspicious item on your Medicare Summary Notice) – the item and its corresponding date, and how much Medicare paid. Also include the Medicare Summary Notice date
